Theres no question how much children love parties and thats not just limited to birthday parties and Halloween parties. Throwing Valentines day parties is a fun way to bring in opportunities for celebration additional Valentines day decorations and enjoying delicious foods. Talk to your kids about the planning process as well as any Valentines day decorations you need help creating. Consider adding a tea party type element into these plans if this is a girls party. You can achieve this type of party on a budget by visiting odd lots stores Goodwill yard sales and antique stores for teacups a teapot and all the linens. Consider choosing items that dont match because when placed on the table with the rest of the Valentines day decorations the look will be interesting and exciting for the party goers.
It matters what you want youre party to be like. Starting with your invites you can go a little different you might be able to find some pre cut cards in the shape of a heart. If you cant find them then maybe just plain red cards will work. Using any cursives fonts will work for the writing for the cards. From there you are going to start with the party are you going for something bigger then at your average party. Hearts and red and pink are things that are the main decorations. Yet if you want to try something different you can go with a different route. Maybe instead of using both pink and red for your Valentine decorations you can use one of those colors at the main color. From there maybe you can add a white accent like white roses for the tabletops.
Serve a wide variety of flavored decaffeinated teas as well as an assortment of flavored hot chocolate. Use tissue paper and pipe cleaners to create vases full of flowers for the tables centerpiece. You can also cut out hearts from paper and use the hearts as flower peddles glued to Popsicle sticks. Additional Valentines day decorations for the table include creating confetti like hearts using a paper punch and several different colors of paper or remnants from wrapping paper. Use paper heart doilies throughout the table presentation underneath the clear glass servers. Keep in mind the foods you serve can also act as the Valentines day decorations. For example serve a variety of foiled candies in clear dishes place a variety of cookies out in clear glass bowls (arrange them so the hearts are overlapping each other) and fill wine glasses with red white and pink hard candies like M&Ms or lifesavers.
