Valentines Decorations / December 31, 2018 / Rachel Gates
1. Make a statement to anyone who walks into the room with a huge banner that is hung on the wall or across the doorway. Nothing says "Happy Valentines Day!" like a Valentines banner 2. Use lots of different sized Mylar balloons all over the place. Have them hanging from the ceiling stuck to walls and even randomly on tables and chairs. 3. Have some helium balloons floating around too. Not only are they going to be mostly on the ceiling but they are fun to bat around turning into impromptu volleyball games from time to time. 4. Have paper hearts stuck everywhere. Tabletops chairs walls and even stuck on the ceiling. You can either buy premade ones or cut them out of construction paper. 5. Stuffed Valentines heart pillows and boxes of candy makes great party favors.
For the backing go with a tablecloth in the color scheme a pink piece of paper or otherwise interesting forms. Candles A great way to make a room or home look beautiful for the holiday is through the use of candles. Often you may have some extra from Christmas to use. Get candle holders or use rings of silk flowers and greenery. Look for the right scent for the candles too if you would like. Make sure they are pink white or red. Get Christmas Out Did you just put away everything for Christmas? Think about using such things as pearl garlands beautifully placed on a tabletop or the candle and floral displays too. In the center of the tablecloths add a gathering of pillar candles surround them with lace trim pearls and rose petals. Perhaps you can even decorate them with glitter or other sparking elements.
They are made with salt dough and make great sculptures to have as keepsakes. Youll need: o 2 cups of plain flour o 1 cup of salt o 1 cup of water o oven o acrylic paint o knife o board o rolling pin o paintbrushes o baking tray o pen pencil or stylus Mix the two cups of flour into a bowl with one cup of salt and one cup of water with your hands until the dough is entirely moistened and sticks together. It should be like pizza dough easy to mold. Youll see the little grains of salt in the dough dont worry thats what it should look like. Roll out the dough into a sheet about a quarter of an inch thick. Then use your stylus pen or pencil to cut out a heart shape. Set this aside and roll out the dough again to cut out some smaller heart shapes. Once you have about three heart shapes in decreasing size you can press one on top of the other. Use a little water between the layers to act as a glue or paste.
