Valentines Flowers / January 15, 2019 / Francisca Mccarty
Stay away from pastel shades when selecting flowers to send your boyfriend or husband. Even if you do send roses you could pick orange ones or better still ones that are almost black in color. These flowers are dyed black and any florist can organize them for you. Make sure that the flowers you send are in a masculine looking vase or arrangement. Vases made of leather pewter or stainless steel will be better appreciated than delicate looking crystal or porcelain. The arrangement should not have anything remotely delicate in it. If you feel that the flowers will not be appreciated you could send your boyfriend or husband a beautiful bonsai instead. This will have maximum impact and can also be placed in the office in order to brighten up the place. A bonsai can be quite expensive but it makes a very attractive gift to a man.
That would be the tulip. Someone who fits the tulip personality is someone who is totally spontaneous and simply irresistible. Another popular flower is the orchid the perfect flower for someone who is exotic adventurous and mysterious. Daisies are the perfect Valentines flower for the sweet caring sentimental type while a lily bouquet would be the perfect choice for someone who is always sincere. Last but certainly not least give a bouquet of beautiful carnations if the love of your life is someone who is devoted someone you would consider to be your best friend. What is your Valentines floral personality? Once you discover that surprise them with a gorgeous bouquet or arrangement of that bloom. Now thats a sure way to capture the heart of your special someone! But dont despair if you cant figure out the perfect kind of flower to match the personality.
If you cant find any flower food or dont have any handy all you need is a teaspoon of sugar a teaspoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of bleach dissolved in half a liter of water to help keep your flowers fresh. Flowers dont like direct sunlight or draughts and at night they like to be kept cool so keep them in a cool sheltered place. You should keep them away from anything that gives off heat like the TV microwave or indoor heating appliances (maybe in summer this wont be such a problem). If you have a flower arrangement you wont have to worry about rearranging the flowers as the work has been done for you. If you dont have an arrangement make sure you cut off approximately an inch off each stem at an angle before arranging them.
