Valentines Cards / January 4, 2019 / Cecelia Montgomery
Choosing your embellishments can be a lot of fun but also a little daunting. The most important thing to remember when choosing the right embellishment for your Valentine card idea is that you are looking for something that will suit your card design and that the recipient of your card will love. Embellishments come in many forms. You can choose from die-cuts stickers epoxy or acrylic stickers three-dimensional stickers chipboard shapes rub-ons buttons sequins ribbons scraps of fabric stamped images brads eyelets snaps or even handmade embellishments you can purchase from other crafters or make yourself. Traditional Valentines card motifs include red love hearts (although why restrict yourself to red?) cupid doves teddy bears and red roses. All of these work well with any Valentine card ideas.
Cartoon characters also make very good funny pictures and there are endless pictures that will leave you in stitches. The pictures as used in cards are used to show great jokes and to communicate something funny. Funny Cards is a site you can visit to get ideas of funny cards. You can also use the cards available to send them to the people you love. The variety at this site will ensure that you do not miss every joke; share this with people close to you and have a wonderful time on Valentines Day. Do not forget that apart from sharing jokes you really want to communicate the great love that you feel. Valentines Day marked on 14th February is the holiday when we celebrate the love between us and our soul mates. Its a holiday of love when we express our feelings to our love mate.
2. Your embellishments. Once again there are literally thousands of Valentines embellishments to choose from. There is everything from stickers to 3D stickers to rub-ons to chipboard to stamped images...the list is endless. You can even make your own with scraps of patterned paper. Whatever you choose make sure it matches your color scheme and is something the recipient of your card will appreciate. If your special someone hates teddy bears and roses do not use them. If you are struggling for Valentine card ideas think about what the recipient loves to do. If he loves to fish perhaps you could use a fishing hook with a heart on the end or if he likes football you could feature a football with a heart in the middle. Featuring your special someones favourite hobbies and activities will help express just how much you care about them.
