Valentines Flowers / January 13, 2019 / Laurel Hawkins.
If youre one of the lucky people who received a bunch of beautiful flowers from your loved one you may want to know how your gift can keep on giving. At Petals weve had a number of florists over the years help customers and our own staff with keeping their flowers alive and fresh. There are number of things our florists have taught us that you can do to ensure your Valentines efforts last longer. First of all no matter how they were delivered either by hand by the florists or by a courier make sure you put your flowers into a clean vase with the wrapping still on and let them drink up the clean water. Next make sure you use cut flower food. The flowers will last longer if you use cut flower food but make sure you the read directions and use the correct amount.
Many women face a dilemma whenever Valentines Day comes up. They would like to send Valentines flowers to the man in their lives but are unsure about how to proceed. Men tend to make it quite difficult for them by not admitting outright that they too appreciate receiving tokens of love such as flowers. Men enjoy getting expensive gifts but they also want to get gifts that come from the heart and indicate that their partners or loved ones truly care about them. If you are wondering how to make Valentines Day special for your husband or boyfriend you should consider sending him flowers this year. Of course you need to do this correctly so that you do not inadvertently make him feel uncomfortable and thereby ruin the entire purpose of the gesture.
Stay away from pastel shades when selecting flowers to send your boyfriend or husband. Even if you do send roses you could pick orange ones or better still ones that are almost black in color. These flowers are dyed black and any florist can organize them for you. Make sure that the flowers you send are in a masculine looking vase or arrangement. Vases made of leather pewter or stainless steel will be better appreciated than delicate looking crystal or porcelain. The arrangement should not have anything remotely delicate in it. If you feel that the flowers will not be appreciated you could send your boyfriend or husband a beautiful bonsai instead. This will have maximum impact and can also be placed in the office in order to brighten up the place. A bonsai can be quite expensive but it makes a very attractive gift to a man.
In fact flowers are by far the most popular romantic gift along with chocolate for this special day celebrated by those in love. But you dont want to wait until the last minute to purchase them. Prices go sky high the day before Valentines Day so get your order in early. What kind of flowers should you give? Choosing the right flower can be a little frustrating but dont despair! Here are some helpful suggestions. Some people believe that roses are the only flower that will do as Valentines flowers. Roses are the ultimate romantic flower. No flower says "I love you!" the way a rose does. For that reason they are the most popular flower for that special day.
