Daily we are reminded about our environment and the importance of recycling reusing and reducing everything we use. Florists and restaurants are now getting on board with this mantra as well. Recently I have noticed various restaurants using succulent plants as table decorations on their dining room tables. Bar arrangements and front desk floral arrangements are incorporating succulents as well. According to Sherene Hulugalle the idea of using succulent plants for table decorations is that once the flowers fade the succulents can be re-planted and will keep growing.
Small but fun. Should you have your eyes on a slightly smaller and less rowdy celebration of all that is Irish a dinner party among couples or a few friends will work well. If you are not skilled in the culinary arts like me call a caterer or local restaurant for plenty of corned beef potatoes rolls and greens. If a touch of class is desired opt for green champagne or wine instead of the beer. The Irish folk music is still a great idea as are the hats and party favors. For a smaller party consider slightly more romantic Irish tunes blended into the mix. Intimate and romantic.
You are likely to find not only an excellent meal but also live Irish music and plenty of holiday cheer. You and your new sweetie might have a hard time hearing each other over the commotion but if you really want to kick up your heels an Irish pub is the place to be on March 17th. Daytime picnic. If a little romancing is on your mind and the weather cooperates a daytime picnic in a park can prove perfect for this occasion. Consider a light lunch under the clouds and a hunt for four-leaf clovers. No matter what type of venue you choose do not forget to greet her with flowers. A holiday gift basket can also provide the perfect ice breaker.
