So how can you get in on the act and celebrate the green on this most festive of holidays? It is a little easier than you might think. In fact if your idea of celebration involves throwing a party you are in luck. There are some excellent ways to usher in this holiday in grand style. What kind of party to throw exactly will depend a lot on your particular style. You might desire a lively and rowdy gathering of friends to celebrate March 17th a small gathering or even a very intimate affair with just you and someone special. I have some ideas that can help you in all three cases. So how do you get started? Pick your flavor of party and go from there of course. Here are some of my favorite ideas depending on the size of the party in question: Big and lively.
Americans have adopted this holiday like fanatics: wearing green drinking (green) beer and eating corned beef and cabbage (sometimes green too). In Chicago the Chicago River is dyed green for the holiday! St. Patrick s Day is a fun holiday filled with friends food and drinking. Not to mention a lot of green. If you have St. Patrick s Day parties or get together coming up for this holiday or want to plan ahead on what to wear here are a few ideas to make the your holiday clothing as festive as the rest of the day. Of course you will want to go all green. That great thing about this holiday is that just about every store you go to now has t-shirts shorts skirts pants and accessories to dress yourself up with.
We wear green and don t know why. We may live in communities that dye their rivers green or present bar patrons with green beer. Restaurants serve corned beef and cabbage amid leprechaun decorations or plastic pots-of-gold. This is a difficult dish to prepare: eat out! School children enjoy cupcakes of any flavor with green icing. Other snacks may be potato chips or potato sticks. Parties for St Patricks Day are sure to be decorated with green and white twisted streamers and four leaf clovers. Paper party goods are the only option for children s parties but some adult dinners feature Irish linen and good china.
