Check out all these ideas and see which ones you want to get your party started and keep it going. Valentines Day is a day of love - a day set aside to tell the people around us how much we care. Be it a spouse a friend or a parent we show our loved ones how much they mean to us by delivering them with sentimental cards flowers candy and gifts. It is the one day of the year when all out romanticism - in all its forms - is expected and accepted. When it comes to Valentines Day we all seem to have our own ways of celebrating. For some that means a special dinner at a restaurant. For others it means tickets to a show. And for still others it means a special Valentines Day treat that we wait for all year long. Valentine cookies are here just prior to and on February 14th - and gone the day after. So for many buying or making these sweet treats are part of their celebration of love. Valentine cookies come in all shapes sizes and flavors.
Thats all you need though to create some beautiful paper craft Valentines day decorations. Here are three project ideas for Valentines Day decorations: Project Idea #1 Gather sheets of colored construction paper; it doesnt have to be just red or pink. Use as many colors as youd like. Fold the sheets of paper into quarters and cut them up. Fold each quarter piece in half; draw a half of a heart on to each so the center of the heart is the fold. Cut each heart out and hang or tape them throughout your home similar to how paper snowflakes would be hung. The variety of colors adds a different twist to this traditional paper craft. When hanging them up consider doing so in layers or by slightly overlapping the hearts. Project Idea #2 Follow the same instructions above and set the hearts aside.
Take sheets of plain white paper and cut them into snowflakes using all different patterns (use your imagination). Place the hearts over the snowflakes and trace around the edges. Cut the snowflake so it fits over the heart and glue them together. You could also trim the snowflake so it is slightly smaller to give the heart a framed look. Hang the hearts throughout your home on mirrors on glassed over wall hangings and from lighting. Project Idea #3 Create a simple paper chain using red pink and white. Alternate the colors in a pattern that pleases you. Theres no right or wrong way to do this. Hang this with additional Valentines day decorations like the paper hearts mentioned above. Consider hanging the hearts from the chain itself. As an added twist cut large hearts out from pieces of decorative scrapbook paper.
