Take sheets of plain white paper and cut them into snowflakes using all different patterns (use your imagination). Place the hearts over the snowflakes and trace around the edges. Cut the snowflake so it fits over the heart and glue them together. You could also trim the snowflake so it is slightly smaller to give the heart a framed look. Hang the hearts throughout your home on mirrors on glassed over wall hangings and from lighting. Project Idea #3 Create a simple paper chain using red pink and white. Alternate the colors in a pattern that pleases you. Theres no right or wrong way to do this. Hang this with additional Valentines day decorations like the paper hearts mentioned above. Consider hanging the hearts from the chain itself. As an added twist cut large hearts out from pieces of decorative scrapbook paper.

There are many ways in which you can decorate for this holiday. Of course the colors of the day include reds pinks white and other similar tones. You can even make a wide selection of these from the kids construction box. Here are some ideas to help get you started. The Bulletin Board Need to decorate a bulletin board? Fill it with flowers and hearts in the color scheme mentioned. Make sure to put a fun border around it and possibly put hearts of all shapes and sizes throughout it. Include some pictures of family members of the students in a class for a great look. You can also ad a fun saying or slogan to it.
