Valentines Greetings / January 5, 2019 / Imelda Chang
Of all of the gifts and love notes exchanged on Valentines Day the most popular item is candy and for good reason. Each year on the same day in mid February (the 14th) candy is given to loved ones as a symbol of our love and commitment. There are thousands of candymakers across the country that hit high gear in the early weeks of the year to meet the incredible demands of candy lovers. Shops and stores offer big red hearts filled with a variety of sugar filled delicacies nuts and sweets nesting in tiny little organdy bags or just plain old candy bars; it doesnt matter as it is given with love. Thats right the holiday is all about love. It is the lovers holiday. This is the time of year for sweethearts to enthrall their honeys with words of devotion and gifts of sweets.
Palace Script Semibold- Palace Script(TM) is an elegant version of an English copperplate script. Its steep incline and dramatic color variation give its letters the appearance of being engraved. Because of the small x-height and delicate weight youll want to use this font in large sizes. It is an elegant Valentine font that shows a touch of class. New Berolina Font - New Berolina(TM)was designed by Martin Wilke a clever German lettering artist and type designer. It is a buoyant disconnected script that scampers merrily across the page in its eagerness to tell a story. Drawn with a light hand New Berolinas casual curves and flowing lines add a formal friendly touch to Valentines Day Cards to give them a fresh and organic appearance.
When it comes to artistry and uniqueness in animated electronic ecards however nothing may compare with the creations that Scandinavian-born artist and designer Frederikke Tu offers at Ojolie. The Valentine ecards currently available on the website to which Tu adds more designs every month include such tasteful undeniably classy often exquisitely beautiful and moving images. These are animated to music such as "Trumpeter Swans" in which haunting flute music plays while cherry blossom petals waft across a mountain lake where two swans glide toward each other their necks forming a heart reflected in the still waters. "Peony" featuring a beautiful flower that blossoms and then becomes part of the pattern on a lovely Japanese womans kimono as she stands beside a tranquil lake scene; and "Love Dance" depicting the courtship of two Japanese red-crowned cranes an elegant natural ballet of timeless devotion.
