Just like St. Valentines Day St. Patrick s Day (i.e 17th March) commemorates the demise of the revered patronised Irish saint St. Patrick. So what is the legend behind St. Patrick which led to the association of a festival in his name and how is the day celebrated ? The story goes like this... Originally born (in later half of fourth century) to Roman parents in Scotland or Roman England (there are conflicting opinions regarding the place of birth) he was previously known by the name Maewyn Succat. He was given a Romanicized name Patricius leading to him being known as Patrick. Patrick was originally a pagan ( a non-believer of Christianity ). During his childhood he was kidnapped and sold as a slave to the Celtic Druids who then ruled Ireland.
Or you can also use a pretty ribbon and tie clusters of succulent plants such as Echeveria and then place them on the table. Surround the Echeveria with black rocks to add texture and contrast to your St Patrick s Day decorations. Another idea is to place a row of simple one potted Carmen succulent plants down the center of the table for décor. Then incorporate a combination of green and white votive candles along with pillar candles. This centerpiece will bring a sophisticated look to your St Patricks Day party table decorations while keeping within the green theme. According to the old saying everyone is Irish on St. Patricks Day.
Depending on where you live you are likely to find the potential venues for a St. Patricks Day first date are quite incredible. Some of the best options include: Parades. Some communities host rather spectacular parades to celebrate Irish heritage. Complete with horses floats marching bands and more the festivities can go on for hours and are generally as much fun for adults as they are for kids. After all who can resist a parade? Irish pubs. Most Irish pubs also double as excellent dinner venues especially on St. Patricks Day. The atmosphere found within is particularly lively on this holiday.
