St Patricks Day Gifts / February 15, 2019 / Cecelia Montgomery.
If you and your sweetheart would prefer to have your own party St. Patricks Day can prove perfect for romance. A quiet candlelit dinner at home with a few party favors and green champagne to toast to your fortunes should do the trick. There are some excellent holiday themed gift baskets that can also help liven up a celebration for two. Some even offer all the party favors you need to go green and have a blast together. Celebrating St. Patricks Day in style is more than possible even if you are not skilled in the fine arts of party planning. This holiday just lends itself to making a party a blast even with minimal preparation.
Remember you are going for romance here so do plan well. Step 3. Consider the atmosphere. Of course you will want a candlelit dinner but you can do much more especially on St. Patricks Day. Consider selecting romantic Irish folk music lighting a fire if the weather cooperates and even clearing some space for close dancing. Step 4. Extras. Depending on where you are in your relationship you might want to plan a few extras. If retiring behind closed doors is likely on tap you can prepare a special surprise in here as well. Consider green silk sheets lots of candles and even sprinkling a path with silk rose petals or lucky four-leaf clover designs.
There is also the option of decorating shirts and clothing with gold and silver glitter. Get a plain green t-shirt tank top dress whatever you would like to wear and add your design to it. Painting on shamrocks or pots of gold or even the words Happy St. Patrick s Day. Not to mention rainbows with pots of gold also. Br creative and add all sorts of flair to any green outfit you come up with. Don t forget to paint your face as well to go with the entire outfit you have created. Painted shamrocks and rainbows with pots of gold at the end of them are a great touch. You could go so far to add green temporary dye to your hair also.
On March 17 1762 Irish soldiers who served in the English military marched through New York City. The parade and music stirred their emotions and brought back memories of Ireland and fellow soldiers they had lost. Irish Americans began observing the holiday publicly in Boston and held the first St. Patrick s Day Parade (organized by the Charitable Irish Society) in New York City in 1766. Even today the St. Patrick Day parade is a mixture of religious beliefs and many people go to Ireland for the festivities fireworks and the parade. Parades take place in other places too: London Paris Rome Moscow Beijing Hong Kong Singapore as well as throughout the Americas.
If a big loud and lively celebration of this holiday is to your liking you will have the luck of the Irish on your side if you take a few steps in advance. To keep things relatively simple consider basic appetizers green beer and plenty of green derbies vests and Kiss Me buttons. A local Irish restaurant should be able to help you with the appetizers. Some hearty Irish stew is always a hit too. Do not forget to turn on some traditional Irish folk music and set the tone so your guests can cut a rug and dance a jig. Do expect to welcome up the sun the next day though. This kind of party can turn out to be a bigger hit than you might expect.
